Nam-Prik-Ta-Daeng

    Background Another traditional dipping sauce or nam-prik of local people in Northern Thailand is Nam-Prik-Ta-Daeng. It is popular mixing with roasted fermented soy bean sheets ( tauhoo-nao ) to make it creamy and tasty. Nowadays tauhoo-nao is rarely to find, however eating with sticky rice and fresh vegetable is really a good combination and delicious.   Nutrition facts Garlic in nam-prik-ta-daeng is necessary for the growth of body tissue and strengthens body immune from cancer. Shallot is well-known for a high antioxidant which can protect against strokes and heart diseases. Also dried chilies in nam-prik is beneficial in building up the appetite, clear mucus from your stuffed nose or congested lungs, stimulate the kidneys to produce more urine and relieve your uncomfortable bloat.   Ingredients ½ cup dried chili 60 grams garlic 60 grams shallot 1 tablespoon shrimp paste 2 cup dried fish 4 tablespoons palm sugar ¼ cup fish sauce ¼ cup tamarind, seedless and chopped

SuaRongHai (Isan Steak)

  Background SuaRongHai is considered as the steak of the Northeast Thailand or Isan. SuaRongHai is grilled the same way as the steak by using the brisket marinated with spice and eaten with chili sauce.   Nutrition Facts Meat contains a large amount of protein, beneficial to the body and repair the worn out tissues.   Ingredients  400 gram meat 3 tablespoons soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon fish sauce For the sauce 1/3 cup fish sauce 1/3 cup water 1/3 cup lime juice 15 grams thinly sliced shallots 1 teaspoon thinly sliced coriander roots 1 tablespoon roasted rice 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Nam PhrikNoom (Green chili paste)

Background PhrikNoom means the green chili. Nam PhrikNoom is the thick chili paste, a famous Northern Thai or Lanna food. A menu not to be missed and mostly eaten with crispy pork rind and fresh vegetables.   Nutritional Facts Green chili contains Capsaicin, help to lower blood sugar. It also helps in the treatment of diabetes, reducing cholesterol and triglyceride levels.   Ingredients 80 grams green chilies 2 tablespoons chopped garlic 2 tablespoons chopped shallots 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon chopped coriander
